is family enough?
my 1st cousin is willing to sponsor me and be my assurer
will i still need to have work experience and qualifications?
or will they let me in just solely based on my family ties?

If your first cousin lives in or around Sydney, Brisbane or Perth, then no
benefit at all.
Otherwise, and if he's lived elsewhere for at least 12 months, he can sponsor you
through Skilled Designated Area Sponsored. You will need to get assessed as having a
skilled occupation, and meet the other basic requirements for migration (age, work
experience, Engligh language) but would not be subject to the points test.
