Extending Visa Options
I am currently on a WHV 417 for one year and currently 5 months in I wonder if anyone can help?
I am working at an architectural practice as a technologist having a degree from UK in Architectural Technology. I have been here for 4 months and am enjoying it alot.
I am currently working as a sole trader however there could be scope for sponsorship although I cannot guarantee such. In the meantime I am keen to secure my long term stay however have been confused by the various options at hand.
As the role 'architect' is on the skilled list I can apply for a skilled working visa. Is this something I can apply for while I'm here & how long/cost would this application process take/be. I have been advised this is something I must do when I am back in the UK? Is this true??
Also, what other options do I have to extend my visa & what would be the best route?
Any help would be much appreciated.
