Hello,
i am onshore at the present time on a 457 visa. I have an application for a last remaning relative (835) visa underway. I have a lovley case officer and she has came back requesting additional information. This being form the father of my two children whom I have had minimal contact with for 8 years. Last time I seen him was in 2007 when he signed a stat dec for me to take the two kids out of the country to come to australia. i have been asked for myself to provide a stat dec which is easy but also him to say he is not in a relationship with me and for 1229.
Easier said than done. he is a chronic alcholic of no real fixed abode. I have spoken with his mum and she is going to try get a hold of him . Even if she does he will have no photo ID which is also needed. His mum would sign a stat dec . Has anyone been in this situation before ?
Its a nightmare as he is so far away and I have had no contact with him at all !
thanks

If you were not married, he may not have parental responsibility to begin with.
