Establishing Credit

I was wondering if anyone has tips on establishing credit from nothing? I have lived in Australia for 3 years as a student and am applying for my permanent residency now. I have an Australian bank account but not much else. Is there a way to get credit from scratch? Where I come from I have excellent credit but that started because I had a job and had Co-Signers for Cars and motorcycles which I paid off. I dont have access to a Co-signer for anything here because I am independent migrant with no family etc. any help would be great. I really want that 2004 Suzuki GSXR coming out soon :) my old one is getting dated.

I'd say you would not have a problem. You have an OZ bank account, Thats good. You have NO BAD credit rating, thats good. You could always buy something small first, on credit, then pay it off early.
