EOI Help Points dont add up!
After going threw the process at the end it says i only have 45!
Yet adding up from the website i should get 60. Im 30 years old(30 points) i have passed my TRA in Bricklaying and got my cert 3(10points) i have been laying bricks for over 10 years (15 points) and laid over a year in Oz(5 points)
All this adds up to 60
I took the academic ielts test instead of general, failed the writing (6.0) as my spelling is terrible.
Has anybody else had this problem or can see what iv done wrong

I would check the dates on your work experience.
The "laying bricks for over 10 years" is irrelevant. The issue is in the last 10 years how many were in Australia and how many were Overseas.
For instance if you have 1 year in Australian (5 points) and 8 years overseas (15 points).
But if you have 2.5 years in Australia (5 points) and 7.5 overseas (10 points) the points are less.
You should get the 10 points for Cert III, but it could be your overseas work experience is not being counted as it pre-dates your Cert III. (guess)
You should see a Migration Agent to check the EoI (if not lodge the application) to ensure the Work Experience is correct.

OP, how about giving the IELTS another go? There are lots of free or low cost study materials on the web you could try. A 6 is not too shabby for someone who says their spelling is bad. With a little bit of practice you could probably get 7 without too much trouble.
