Re: ENS Visa (121/856) Current Timescales (Part 2.....)
What is your timeline?
For what I know, External check are done by another australian governmental agency (which I don't remember the name but I think it's ASIS) and it's related to character check from your home country. This can take several months...

Good luck charm aye
I see that you applied in JULY. Did you apply for PR and nomination both at the same time??
I also see you are a Policy Analyst. Is this something related to I.T.?

I suggest you make a complaint. Call them 100 times if you have to.

No, i did it separately - which i think was a mistake - i'm convinced that people who applied for both together (like a colleague of mine who applied 2 months after me, but got his visa 2 months before me!) got done quicker - they seemed to pick up the work nomination and then just push ahead with the visa because it was attached, and there's so much pressure on them to get the backlog cleared.
Ah policy analyst, it could mean so many things.. i think they perhaps mean it in a more business/finance sense, but i work in health and the ASCO description worked pretty well.

No my nomination was done first, as my work was messing about... that was approved back in July - i waited for that to clear before i sent it in. Which i think was a mistake but you never know things till its too late!
Really hope you get yours soon! Was speaking to a friend of mine tonight who applied a week before me and hasn't got his yet... i wonder if my paranoid phone calls to immigration helped shove it along? Who knows i suppose, but always worth a go - def didn't do me any harm!
good luck!

Well done to those of you who recently got your golden ticket! January seemed to be a good month as far as grants went!! There are quite a few people who should have theirs by now, but may not have updated their details on the spreadsheet... I'll send them a message to see if they're through or not.... hopefully there's some more updating to do.
To those still waiting, we'll float that boat together for now and hopefully see a tide of golden tickets soon!

Re: ENS Visa (121/856) Current Timescales (Part 2.....)
Aren't C.O supposed to get in touch within 2 Business days with either a decision or a request for further informations (as stated everywhere)?
My employer has been made aware early January that a C.O was allocated to the Nomination and myself have been made aware today that my main application was also allocated (most likely it's the same C.O).
BUT, we have not received any form of update or request for more documents... It's pretty frustrating as we don't have the direct email address of that C.O.
Anyone can comment?
