Just a quick question doe sit take longer for ENS if you change employers?

do you think it will be accepted? do i need to submit acs in teh last 12mths prior to application date?

i am all confused.

If I understand you correctly, you have already submitted one application and going to submit another application with another employer. Is that right?
ACS is valid only for 12 months. If you need assessment as it looks like in your case, then you need to valid assessment

Hey sorry I haven't been back on to elaborate, was still in shock when i first posted

I lodged my application and nomination on 03/05/10 at the Melbourne DIAC office. (same employer as my 457 which i've had since August 2008)

Credit card was charged the following day.

Company got an email on Monday afternoon saying that the nomination had been approved and that a decision would be made within the next few days.

Visa granted yesterday morning. 7 full working days later.

If it's any consolation I started the process in February 2009. Had to get my engineering qualifications accredited. I finished my Career report in June 2009 and sent it to my then MA who said he had lodged it to Engineers Australia and it shouldn't be long. Kept getting emails saying thinsg like "Engineers Australia have said expect a positive outcome so go and get your medical done we're nearly there" - complete bullshit from a formed DIAC employee turned rouge MA. After months and months waiting my MA mysteriously went on leave and i got an email from the MA agents manager who asked to see me. He informed me that this f***ing b***ard of a MA had kept all the files in his house and done nothing for months on end. So i was back to square one. The waiting list on accreditation at Engineers Australia was now 16 weeks and that was through the Christmas period. After getting the approval from them it was a 6 week wait from my company to fill in their side of the ENS but since they were getting taken over it was a bit touch and go.

Finally got it last monday and applied that day and now here i am!

Can become a citizen next July. Crazy!

Good luck everyone!

p.s kazza enjoy Glesga - say hello to my friends and family!!
