ENS Query-Best possible option

Hi,

I moved to Sydney on a 457 visa 2 years ago.

My company sponsored me as a Technical Writer when i moved in. I worked in that position for a year and when an internal Voice engineer role came up, i applied for it and got the role. I have been working as a Voice Engineer since last year.

Now my company is willing to sponsor me under the ENS scheme. What would be the best option for me here?

I have worked with the same company for 2 years under the 457 Visa but in 2 different roles. Will that be an issue for me to apply under the ENS scheme?

Any suggestions on this would be highly appreciated.

Regards,
Agathi

Re: ENS Query-Best possible option

Having had 2 or more different roles may be a problem (it may depend on circumstances and how different the roles are).

Have you got a skill assessment? If not, can you get one?

I'd recommend you move with your ENS urgently as the recession could lead to the rules becoming a lot more difficult. I'd recommend you find some good professional assistance, George Lombard is in Sydney so you could call him on 02 97990085.

Re: ENS Query-Best possible option

Thanks JAJ.

I did look at other option and this is what i worked out.

I am going to get my skills assessed under the "Engineering Technical Specialists (nec)" with Engineers Australia as i have a degree from one of the universities mentioned in the Sydney Accord.

I also have 3 years of work experience in the field of engineering (including my technical writer role).

I will get in touch with an immigration consultant.

Once again, appreciate your reply.

Regards,
Agathi.
