Enhanced disclosure vs PCC
Hi
we got PCCs about a year ago, and will need to get new ones as our application hasnt yet been given a case officer.
My wife is undergoing enhanced disclosure checks for working with kids.
Can this be submitted instead of a standard PCC, or will we need to get a PCC also ?
I know I'll need a PCC for me.

That's an interesting one. I have an enhanced disclosure but sent police checks off.
I would get police checks done in case they don't realise what they are across in Oz

No, you can't use the Enhanced Disclosure, because it is done by the CRB, for employment purposes.
DIMIA want a Subject Access check, done by the police themselves, for migration purposes. One day these checks will be done by the CRB as well, but for now only the actual police check is valid for migration.

Thanks for this. Good to know bureacracy is a worldwide phenomenon, and not just here in the UK ;-)
