Engineers Australia - time for CDR assessment?
 

Hi. Has anyone recently had a Competency Demonstration Report assessment with Engineers Australia? Would appreciate experience of how long the process took? The website says 12 weeks though hopefully in practice some have been quicker than this?

I think they usually wait out the entire 12 weeks before letting you know- even if they are done earlier. Unless there is something unusual.

CDR exaclty 12 weeks they take. If you are lucky then might get something on the 11th week, but most of the cases which I have seen respond only on week 12.

EA will tell you if you call them that the processing time for CDRs is indeed out to 12 weeks, this is not something they'd make up.

Current assessment turnaround time is 14 weeks!

Yes, it takes about 12 - 14 weeks. My one took about 13 weeks.

I applied on 27th August for my skill assessment to EA. So hopefully I will contact with Engineers Australia on 12 no. week (20th November) to know is there any outcome of my case....

Current process time for CDR is 14 weeks. . ..

Maybe they have received too much application......:)

I applied for Mechanical Engineering occupation (2126-11)

When I applied, then in the instruction booklet time for assessment was mentioned 12 weeks. 14 weeks seems to me too more to wait..!

I think the clock start ticking from the acknowledgment date.

Exactly you can start counting from your acknowledgment date. I got the letter the next day when my 12 week timespan was over. So you dont have to expect anything before 12 weeks if you are a CDR applicant. Not sure if it has been changed to 14 weeks recently but previously they had promised result after 12 weeks.
