Jackebo,
Why not post this on a separate thread as you might not get answers on an 2 year old thread.
I'm sure someone will advise. You might want to be clearer on how you are related to your relatives (ie how close)
Also you need to read all the different sorts of visa on the www.immi.gov.au website and see what fits best.
Cheers

I hate to say this, but at age 45 you may have missed the boat to
qualify for Australia. Unless the spouse aged under 45 has skilled
work experience and can get a skill assessment (which seems unlikely
in this case) general skilled migration is off limits.
Business skill migration is sometimes possible for over 45s (although
it will be a lot harder post 1 March), but not information is
available here to even speculate whether it's feasible. Probably not
- there is a requirement with service businesses that the applicant
spend as much time in management (ie, in this case he'd have to employ
a number of other electricians) than in providing the service.
The original poster should instead start looking at New Zealand, while
keeping an eye out for any announcements in Australia that might relax
the 45 age bar if the applicant is going to settle in a regional area.

PS If your relatives in Australia are close relatives (eg brothers
rather than uncles/cousins) and you have no close relatives outside
Australia (parents, siblings, non-dependent children) then you may
have a chance of qualifying for Remaining Relative.
