Emigrating expert .com ?
Hi,
Hoping for some help please.
I have been contacted by a company called Emigratingexpert.com offering to help us with the application for £195.
Wondered if anyone has had any experience with them and know exactly what they do for their money?
Could only find 2 other threads.
Is it worth using someone to help or go it alone.
OH is Electrician for 11 years just waiting for last of his qualification to come through should be next couple of weeks.
Another question sorry do we need to do TRA and VETASSESS?
Thanks Rebecca

My understanding of the visas available is that unless you find an employer to sponsor you (which is quite hard) you will have to complete VETASSESS.
Have a look at this link and follow the threads in there to find out about this.
I would look very sceptically at any agency asking only £195 to help you with the application. Are you sure they're not asking that much just to assess your chances of getting a visa? Double check this.
If you are looking for an agent I would def recommend going with one of those that post on here. George Lombard, Tony Coates, Alan from Gomatilda. All post on here regurlarly and are a mine of information.
Hope this helps.

I was contacted a while a go by a similar company called migrationexpert.com and managed to find out a bit of info luckily before I sent them any money if it's the same for that money they'll send you some literature by email which is full of info you can find yourself for free either on here or by looking on www.immi.gov.au after that they'll probably offer some sort of premium service (what any migration agent offers) for an extra few grand so it's prob just a way to draw in new business. I'd be wary if I were you

Hi there. I used migrationexpert.com based in Regent St and Melbourne and they were really helpful and got me my visas in 9 months.
I think it cost me about £3000.00 with everything but made life a whole lot easier.
Good luck

emigratingexpert just looks dodgy to me... why would they charge for an assessment?

Hi,
my partner and I were contacted by Emigrating expert, they said the £195 was refundable if you were not eligable to apply for emigration.
We went ahead and all they did was send a letter saying they felt we would be successful, however their assessment was based on more senior jobs than we currently have and would therefore gain more points!! We specifically asked for an assessment of our current position as we already knew that we could get additional points if we were in more senior jobs!!
We contacted them and managed to get a refund.
Most of the info required can be found on this forum and associated links.
We have since recieved far better initial advice from Gomatilda.com for free.

Did you mean emigratingexpert.com?
I guess you and I had totally different experiences with Migration Expert. Like the poster a few posts up, I found them to be pretty great. Helpful, and definitely qualified agents!

My suggestion is not to touch emigratingexpert.com with a bargepole. This totally useless 'organisation' is only there to refer your details to property, investment and removal companies and make additional money out of this. On a practical level once you have 'registered' you get emailed (if you are lucky) a basic PDF form on which you register your requirements and details. And that's basically it... When I asked for a refund for their appalling service I was told "we don't do this..." - as to what they actually do is everyone's guess...

hi there
We used emigratingexpert.com last summer. we found them to be realy helpful, we dealt with paul trevail one of their researchers who took some details in regards to qualifications time on the job family situation we paid them 285 which we were abit suspicious about as compared to everyone else it seemed realy cheap.. they sent us out a questionarre form which we completed and sent back it took around ten days for them to get our points assesment and complete set of visa forms back.. we were then contacted by a female resercher not sure of her name. who spent around two hours or so on the phone helping my husband fill out all the forms and also a tra form.. they gave us info on jobs, property schooling transfering money and organised three quotes on visas for alfie < our labrador> so all in all for only 300 hundred pounds they came in realy helpfull, i called up last week to ask a few questions and again they couldnt be more helpfull.
good news is we only have 8 weeks left and we are on the plane
cheers

If you were happy with their service then I'm glad for you, but it all sounds a bit too good to be true to me. If they charge so little and provide such a good service then surely more people would be recommending them.

Im a newy too and its a right mine field!
I too was contacted by emigrationexpert.com they quoted £285 for a consultation and points assessment, the bloke was very friendly but their web site doesnt state how long they have been established for and it looks a little "unprofessional"!
The emigration group are local to us and quoted £195 for the same services....
HOWEVER.. neither provided the additional information of extra/hidden costs
After reading recommendations of Go Matilda on here I just called a v helpful lady who has arranged a call back, which will document ALL FEES and at which stages they are paid
Thanx to expat forums for that,
I will keep you posted on the follow up.
We are applying for a General Skilled Migration Visa.

We were also thinking of using Emigrating Expert.com (based in Cornwall) but when I googled them I found out they also trade as;
Removals Abroad Limited
ConservatoryQuoteline.com
Compare4Insurance.com
This has obviously made me quite wary - we won't be paying them any money
