Which is easier....Accountant or a Lawyer

Would like to know which professions will gain PR easier in
Australia.....CPA or LLB?

Accountant is definitely easier. Not easy, and you still have to meet
some specific requirements, but easier than lawyer (which is quite hard).

This is not intended to be legal advice in any jurisdiction

I would add a slight rider to Jeremy's answer - solicitors currently going to Queensland are not too bad - but not as straight forward as an accountant.

hey all,

why is it hard to get PR as a lawyer? I was wondering as my fiance just finished his degree in law from UNSW and is going to apply for his PR next month.... how much time does it usually take?

Also we are thinking about getting a spouse visa after he gets his Pr for me? what is the fastest way to get even a temp visa to aus... fiance, defacto or spouse?

thanks in advance

samar
