Dumb question - ‘Immigration Clearance’
Ok dumb question alert…
on an aged parent visa application it clearly states:
“You must be in Australia, but not in immigration clearance, when you apply for this visa.”
What exactly does “not in immigration clearance” mean? To me, that’s saying you can’t apply when you’re in transit through the airport…!
…I did say it was a bit of a dumb question..

Re: Dumb question - ‘Immigration Clearance’
Immigration clearance just means that on arrival at an airport or port, you are cleared to enter Australia by immigration officials.

yep ok, so it’s as ridiculous as I thought….as who, after flying Christ knows how many hours on a plane is going to be thinking “ah yeah, I’ll grab my suitcase off the carousel & go get my docs together n submit that visa application right now….no time like the present!” 🙄😆
