Default Does date of medical of NON-migrating child affect our validation date?

My husband's non-migrating child will have to have his medical about 2 months before our medicals due to circumstances with the ex-wife etc.
I know the medicals are valid for a year in which you have to enter Australia to validate the visa, but as he is NON-migrating will the date of HIS medical still be the determing factor? Or is it based on the earliest date of the migrating applicants?

Good question and I doubt anyone will be able to give you a definitive answer. Why can't you all do your medicals sooner and get the process moving to visa grant as quickly as possible?

Thanks for your reply. I always value your objective and straight answers!

We are in the UK and the non-migrating child is in South Africa; my husband is there now for urgent business, so he had to arrange it for now as his ex-wife will not cooperate with the process. We will try and lodge the visa application before end of January - just awaiting one important document from my university.
