I should note that this is only really relevant to tradies such as plumbers or electricians, as I know they definitely need a licence to work and therefore it would be a requirement for this visa. Just need peace of mind..

I haven't seen many 186 applications on here, and def not many (if any) from tradies. I understand the OTSR route as the spark in my name is my occupation but I am here on 176 (the older version of what is now 190) so can't tell you if it is enough for 186. Your best bet may to see a MARA agent if you really need the reassurrance but it will not change anything - you will still have to wait for a response from DIBP. Fortunately I do not think they are taking too long to make decisions on these visas.
