Do visas get processed on a weekend?
Hi guys
Im new here. Just looking for some reasurrance really. I know people have way longer waiting times than me but because of personal circumstances im anxious to find out
i was just wondering if anyone knew if visas were pricessed on weekends? I have been given a time frame but it significantly decreases the waiting time if they are processing on weekends.

Processing times are calculated in business days as weekend work is an exception rather than a rule>

Assume not. Public servants tend not to like weekend working unless there is some urgent push and, sadly, your impatience isn’t go8ng to justify anybody’s urgent push. It’ll either arrive one day or it won’t. Don’t waste your time hanging around for it,

I do agree though, regular staff ( as opposed to shift workers) rarely do weekends, but its not unknown to see visa grants on a Saturday.

As a Registered Migration Agent I can say that I see a lot of variation in the time of day visas are granted. There is some variation between visa subclasses but yes so are granted on weekend and outside normal working hours. However, the majority are granted within normal business hours.
