Default In a dilema now with RSMS

Not sure what to do My contract with my current employer ending in Oct 2012 and they have no intention of renewing it due to no more funding left.

I managed to get another job but they expecting me to join them by August 2012. I am still bound by RSMS 2 years until Oct 2012. I don't want my visa canceled for not completing 2 months obligation! It is difficult to get a job in my area nowadays and my luck it came too soon

Any advise??

I wouldn't think anyone here can give you any official advice. My OPINION is that you will be fine, from the sounds of other posts DIAC really don't care other than to threaten you with 'visa cancellation'.

It wont let me post a link to another post on poms in oz - but someone on there has just put their experiences of leaving their current employer after a year on a RSMS 857 visa. You'll find it under 'Migration Issues'.

Thanks mate. I will probably wait until end of September to leave. In the meantime, I might negotiate for part-time position since it involves mostly work on the computer and can be done from home.
