Angry DIBP skill assessment points vs ACS skill points

Hi All,

ACS has deducted 2 years of my work experience, 5 years’ experience is considered.
I quit my job. After one year I applied for Australia visa, I got an invite and I applied.
At the time of invite my deducted experience (2 months out of 2 years), has fallen out of 10 years zone.
(While doing ACS assessment all the experience is within 10 years, but while applying Visa , 2 months experience is outside 10 years)

My question is how many points will DIBP skill assessment will give to me 5 or 10 points?
I have claimed for 10 points.

Please let me know the output if you come across this scenario .

Thank you

Points are based on skilled experience and once assessed you would have been given a date deemed skilled. As long as the assessment is still valid, then experience after the date is counted.

Yes, the 'deemed skilled date' is the date from which *both* qualification AND work experience criteria are met. All relevant referenced employment after this date is counted for points.

The qualification and employment criteria will differ depending on various factors, which can be found on ACS's 'Summery of Criteria' fact sheet.

Regards,

Richard

For points purposes, what is relevant is your work experience within 10 years at the time of invitation.

The 10-year window is "fixed" at the time of invitation. I would have thought that the EOI system automatically calculates your work experience points for you, rather than you manually/directly claiming points.
