I would like to know , 'MET' means case officer has already checked the documents given in terms of work exp, educational qualifications? but non my former employers got a verification call or an email yet about my work exp.

So MET status means the case officer is ok with the documents I gave (i provided detail reference letters, and salary details) or still a job verification is due in future?

Anyone with recent such experience share here please

Thanx
It means that someone at DIAC has changed the status on your online page. Nothing more, nothing less.

Default processing time frame for 176, 475 Northern Territory

I want to apply for the State Sponsorship Program 176 or 475 category for Northern Territory. I am a Software Engineer.
Since the policy for Australian Immigration will change on 1 july therefore i want to know about the processing time frame for 176, 475. What is the processing time for the application for Northern Territory?

I will put my question in different manner/style.

I need suggestion and help. I am planning to apply for State Sponsorship visa for Northern Territory (176, 475 Visa subclass). But there is not much time left. The policy will change on 1st July. I need to first apply for the ACS, then for the State Sponsorship and then finally I will apply for migration (before 1st July). What you people suggest me to do? Can I get my migration before 1st July.

Sorry, but you have a snowman's chance in hell of being able to get your skills assessed, apply for state sponsorship & then apply for a visa by the 1st July.

If I were you, I'd start reading up on the requirements for post-July on the SkillSelect website.

Default 175 application-prioritised by profession/trade?

Just wondering, now we have finally lodged the application. Are applications processed according to when they are submitted, or are some professions/trades prioritised over others? Just curious...

They're prioritised according to DIAC's priorities. Since none of us works at DIAC it's pretty much impossible for any of us to say. Some get a decision in a matter of months while others wait years. Every application is different and is assessed/prioritised according to it's own merits.

1) There is an allocation dates page on the DIAC site. You can find it by going on said website & searching for "allocation dates". It comes up quite quickly. Since I'm in a good mood, I'll link it for you here.

2) This is not a timeline site. There's no way anyone's going to be able to tell you when to expect a CO, as no two applications are the same. This process can be quite long, so try not to get caught up in the timeline/"when will I get a CO?" malarkey. You'll drive yourself bonkers! You've lodged your application & submitted your documents, now sit back & just wait for DIAC to do their job. Try & put the immigration stuff to the back of your mind & carry on with everyday life. That was the best thing I've learned from here.

Yes. Sunday September 31 2012 at 8:42 pm GMT. (Bear in mind that my crystal ball has just had its 60k service so it's pretty accurate)

I reserve the right to be completely wrong in my estimation.

Which calendar do you base that estimation on? Gregorian, Mayan, Dorothyan?
