I don't know your timelines but I applied June 2008 and got a CO last September and sent back Form 80 within a month but haven't heard anything since. So, patience is the word I think.

My timeline: SA SS:24/11/2010,Application lodge: 16/12/2010.Form 80 required from DIAC: 11/03/2011.
Hope to get better news in future.

Hi all,

I am keeping an eye on processing time updates from 18th of march when i got mail from DIAC to go ahead with the medicals and PCC's and the dates have not changed in last FOUR fortnightly updates. Do anyone have an idea why this is happening?. Do they have stopped allocating applications and finalizing already allocated applications or what?

I am eager because i applied two weeks after the last date in current processing times update.

On March 3rd 2011 DIAC has asked me to provide the form 80 and I have provied them Form 80.
In May I asked my agent about the status of my 176 application and based on that my agent sent a PLE.
The reply email is given below:
Thank you for your email in relation to your visa application under Australia's General Skilled Migration program.
I can confirm that your visa application has been assigned to a case officer.
A preliminary assessment will be conducted on your visa application to determine if any further documentation is required. Once this assessment has been completed your case officer may contact you if they require any additional documents.
We appreciate your patience in this matter.
I am confused about this reply,Why theey have started again preliminary assessment and what does it mean?
I lodged my application 16-12-2010. 176 VISA Subclass.
I have sent all the documents except medical as DIAC did not ask for that.
Can anyone help me to get out this confusion?

I sent an email in January asking about the status of my application and this is the reply I got:-

"At present your application is undergoing routine processing. Unfortunately, ensuring all the legal requirements are met in relation to an application can take some time.

The case officer is following up on the status of your application on a regular basis to ensure it is being processed as soon as practicable. You will be contacted if we require additional information to process your application.

We appreciate your patience in this matter."

Haven't heard anything since.

Probably your application is under security checks. From your ID I understand that you are Iranian. Therefore, it may take up to 12 months to complete your security checks
I have been waiting since Dec2010.

You assume correctly QLDlover. I have waited 3 years so another year won't make much difference I guess.

hello friend's i am new to the Forum i have applied ve 175 in depended in dec 2007 all docs have been met since end 2008.A new case officer is also have been allocated to me beginning of 2011 n gsm team is also changed before i was under gsm team-1 now i am in care of gsm team-2. I have raised a PLE and this was the latest reply
