Woohoo!
My "De Facto" (I hate that title) has had her visa awarded. We applied
late May, Visa awarded 14th of July, through DIMIA in Santiago, Chile.
Unfortunately, she is subject to the Health thingy, so we only have 6
months to enter. First entry date is Dec 18. We've booked tickets and
our flight arrives in Sydney at 9am on Dec 9. There shouldn't be any
problem "cutting it fine",should there? We need all that time to round
up our affairs here.
Secondly, can anybody share "first entry" stories? We are looking at a
connecting flight on a non-partnered airline that leaves Sydney at
12:00 (bought over the web on a "use it or lose it" basis. Should we
expect any delays at Sydney immigration?
Thanks for all the help and advice from the group!

Cutting it fine, 9 days.
I have a friend that landed on the LAST flight of the evening on the day
before his first entry date. hahaha. He booked the flights 3 months in
advance as well and knew he was cutting if fine. I only the other hand
would be happy with your timeline.
