Hi,
me and my partner are planning to apply for de facto visa. we have been in a relationship for a good 3 1/2 years (we have proof). We have also lived together for 1 1/2 years but its not going to be immediately b4 applying as I had to leave australia as my visa was expiring. Will this have a bad effect on the application.
Thanks

search or message mlbonner, she applied from uk whilst partner in oz/..... as long as u have a valid reason to seperate and keep in contact and keep all ur evidence - i believe u should be fine. Wouldnt wait too long for applying though. Does take a while to get all your paperwork together and AHC says 4mths max processing time (though they are quick) once you have the visa you have a year to enter the country. Hope this helps
