I sent in my application of 136 skilled independent visa on 29th Mar
using Fedex, according to track record, it was delivered at 10:41am on
31st Mar, I also got the name of the person who signed delivery.
My question is how ASPC define the effective “Date of Application”,
what action signals that they have acknowledge the application? is 31st
Mar the date of application in my case?
I have concern on this because I am turning 30 years of age on 12th Apr
2006, if the date of application is later than this date, then I lose 5
points on age.
Anyone please advise me on this…I do worry a lot!
Many thanks!

Hi buddy,
I was going through 1119 booklet. Read the 1st basic requirement.
Age :
you must be under 45 years of age WHEN YOU APPLY.
This will give u some hint.
So relax.. Im sure it is the date when they recieve ur application.

You will get an email from DIMA stating that your application was received on XX/XX/2006 and a copy of the receipt will be attached. At least that's how they did it for us.
Take care and if you have other questions, please post.
not?
Thanks for advice
