Default Currently unemployed, is it a problem?

Hi, I will apply as a "Skilled independent",

I lost my job last month.

But I was employed 6 months of immediate 12 months
and 12 months of immediate 18 montsh
and 3 years of last 4 years..

In the form I need to describe my "current job"
and in ACS assessment I should put my current pay slip..

If I write "unemployed" and give them the last payslip I got,
would that be a problem?

Any comments welcome.

Thanks

Hi

so long as you meet the criteria, it isnt a problem.

Its less of an issue for ACS than DIMIA.

When this happened to me, I held off sending to DIMIA until I had a job as

a) I didnt want to give the impression of being a dole bludger who couldnt get a job in my own country, so thought i'd go to aus.

b) I may have needed the application money, and knew I could always apply once I had a job.

If you havent applied to ACS, i'd apply to ACS (as long as you can afford it while out of work). If you are still out of workafter ACS, I'd hold off the main application until you have work.

However, so long as you meet the criteria, there's nothing to stop you applying and qualifying.

Hope this helps

Thank you for the answer,

I don't wanna get a job soon indeed. I have things to do like going back to school etc. for a term.

If I write what I did in my last job and include the last pay slip I got in "September" then would that be ok?

Check me if I'm wrong, I don't know exactly what would be the result from the assessing office for that matter. But I think that is possible.

But you look for another job or go to school to upgrade you academic skills. It would still reflect that you are on the right path.

cheers,

You do not have to be currently employed provided you meet the work experience requirements for the visa you're applying for as of the date of application.

Details are in the Skilled Migration Booklet.
