I am sorry for bothering you all.

Thank you.

Priority Processing - Change From 1 January 2009
Following recent announcements by the Minister for Immigration and
Citizenship, in response to the current global economic environment,
processing of General Skilled Migration applications gives first priority
to applications in the following two categories:
1. Applications with a successful State or Territory Nomination; and
2. Applications where the nominated occupation is identified on the
Critical Skills List (CSL).
Note: Due to the number of applications in the above two categories, on
hand and being received, applications not on the CSL, or applications
without a successful State or Territory nomination, will be delayed until
those applications which meet the processing priorities are finalised. This
includes those on the Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL)
Details of the Minister’s announcements can be found on the DIAC website
via the following link:
http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...hats-new.htm#j
Priority Application Processing Information
As a result of the priority processing direction expalined above only
applications from the following priority groups will be allocated to case
officers.
1. State or Territory Nominated Applications - These applications have
the highest priority for allocation once the department has received and
approved a nomination from a State or Territory authority.
2. Applications with a nominated occupation on the Critical Skills List
(CSL) - these applications are allocated and processed as supplies after
the State and Territory Nominated applications.
Priority Processing Exemptions
Visa Subclasses 485, 476, 487 and 887 are exempt from the priority
processing changes. Applications under these subclasses will continue to

Re: CURRENT PROCESSING TIMES - ASPC/GSMB UPDATES THREAD
It seems for VF 476, the published date is remain unchanged for a long time(19 August 2008). Does that mean someone application has been taking so long to process, that's why the date is remained unchaned.
Can you let me know why the date is unchanged for such a long period? Earlier, based on approximate time frame, it was 10 months waiting time but now it's becoming to a year.

Re: CURRENT PROCESSING TIMES - ASPC/GSMB UPDATES THREAD
Not really
175 (CSL) - you will have co according to the date of lodgment
176 - You will have co shortly once SS is approved by DIAC
175 non csl and Non MODL : better to be patient we will let you know when
recession ends

Re: CURRENT PROCESSING TIMES - ASPC/GSMB UPDATES THREAD
Hi all,
Has anyone had any problem getting a reply from the aspc email? I have sent the "blank" email many times before, quite religiously in the early days of visa application, but I have not sent one for a few weeks, then last week and this week I have sent several and not got the updated email. Also Does it still get updated every Tuesday?
Chop.

Re: CURRENT PROCESSING TIMES - ASPC/GSMB UPDATES THREAD
Hi, know what you mean by that, we were on CSL list (fitter 4112-11) with a 175 application lodged and the processing said we should have had a CO by end of May, then towards the end of March (just before we went to visit Perth in April) it all changed and we were dropped off CSL list (like many trades). Light at the end of tunnel though, changed to 176 and just got the acceptance letter. waiting for DIAC now!!!!

Re: CURRENT PROCESSING TIMES - ASPC/GSMB UPDATES THREAD
i think it would benefit a lot of people, if they can also show what they are processing at the moment for priority 1 and 2. they say CSL is processed based on the order of lodgment, i think it will be more informative to tell people where they are now (just like the old processing times). it will calm those who had been clueless for so many months now...
well, just a thought, who i am i to dictate anyway

Re: CURRENT PROCESSING TIMES - ASPC/GSMB UPDATES THREAD
But it is helpful to some, which is why I took the trouble to get the update and post it. Not so many moons ago there were no updates like this at all. You applied and often heard nothing at all for a couple of years, and there was no way of getting a timeline from DIAC at all.
