Current Processing Times (Part Two)
CURRENT PROCESSING TIMES AS OF 11th MARCH 2008
From [email protected] : This is an automated e-mail response from the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre (ASPC) to provide general information about application processing. If you send documents or an enquiry to this mailbox you will need to resend your email to the correct departmental address. If the application has been allocated to a case officer then you will have been provided with specific contact information. Alternatively you can refer to the department's website at: http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/visa...fessionals.htm for information on contacting or sending documents to the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre. Information on skilled migration is available from the Department's website at http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...tion/index.htm Updates Capital Investment As of 3 December 2007 all State/Territory Treasury Corporations who were gazetted to accept designated securities have withdrawn this facility. Consequently it is no longer possible to lodge a deposit with any of the State/Territory Treasury Corporations in order to claim bonus points. The department is investigating the implications this will have on affected applications and as soon as any further information comes to hand relating to this matter applicants will be contacted directly by their case officer. Applicants not yet allocated a case officer can continue to check this email for updates and information will be added to the department’s website when available. United Kingdom police clearances Police certificates are now being issued by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) and cover applicants who have lived or currently reside in England, Wales, Scotland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Northern Ireland. Application forms and guidance on how to apply for the police certificates for residents and non-residents can be located online at www.acpo.police.uk Currently, the department will also continue to accept the outcome of a Subject Access Request made under the Data Protection Act 1998 for each relevant UK jurisdiction. Communicating with this office Information on making telephone or email enquiries to the ASPC is located at http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/visa...fessionals.htm This system has been established to provide consistent and efficient responses to email enquiries and you are requested not to send enquiries to individual departmental officers regarding an application unless specifically requested to do so. Please note that the departmental officers who email out the acknowledgement letters are not able to respond to enquiries sent to their individual email addresses. RECEIPTING AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF APPLICATIONS The ASPC is currently receipting new applications within service standards. Once an application has been receipted it undergoes validity checking and an acknowledgement letter with client information and a receipt will be sent. If an application is determined to be invalid documents will be returned and a refund of the visa application charge arranged. As of 11 March 2008 the ASPC Admin Section is processing applications as follows: Onshore Applications: receipting and acknowledging applications received on 6 March 2008. Offshore Applications received after 1 September 2007: receipting and acknowledging applications received on 6 March 2008. Offshore Applications received prior to 1 September 2007: All applications with a valid payment have now been receipted. The ASPC is acknowledging offshore applications received on 27 August 2007. Please note that any delay in acknowledging an application does not affect the date on which a valid application is recorded as having been received and does not delay processing of the application. Once an application has been acknowledged it will be allocated to a case officer for further assessment as soon as possible, however, the ASPC receives a large number of applications and you will not be contacted immediately. Re: Current Processing Times (Part Two)
The processing times information provided by DIAC is updated usually on a weekly and is available by sending a blank e-mail to: [email protected]
This is an automated service providing processing information only - all other enquiries should be directed to [email protected] or the particular case officer. Please keep this thread strictly to the topic, so that it is easy for people to find the infomation they require. Discussions wandering off the topic should be carried out in their own threads, please :) The previous thread is located HERE and we have opened a new one due to the sheer size of the previous one. |

Re: Current Processing Times (Part Two)
I'm not sure that it updates as often as it used to. It was regular as clockwork a few months back. Now it can vary from 1-2 weeks b4 they update it :(

Re: Current Processing Times (Part Two)
It has been getting updated weekly for the last few weeks but sometimes not until Wednesday - we'll have to wait another day. Just think though, if they aren't updating the email, maybe they're processing visa applications
