cousin in Sydney
In desperation, after the recent points rise (leaving us 5 short!), we have found out that my husband has a first cousin in Sydney (obviously a close family!!!!).
Anyway, from what I can make out from the DIMIA web site, he lives in the wrong postal code area....
What is the criteria for a cousin acting as sponsor? I am struggling to understand how this really works...
Sorry guys, I know to some of you I must appear extremely thick, but I have read so much about so many visa, that I think I am on DIMIA overload!!
Thankyou for your patience

If you still don't understand, contact a good agent. Try http://www.austimmigration.com.au/pages/contact.htm

Re: cousin in Sydney
First cousins can't sponsor for Skilled Australian Sponsored. So if he lives in the wrong postcode for Skilled Designated Area Sponsored, you're out of luck.
If you are stuck on 115 points and have no way to get the additional 5 points, your likely best option is to wait and see what the new regional independent visa has to offer.
