Default copies of degree certificates & transcripts

i applied on feb,2002.i ahve received file no letter alongwith a
letter to send copies of degree certi & transcripts for authenticity
of degree certi.

i approached to Gujarat uni.-india for transcipts & degree certi.I
managed transcripts from my college and give them to uni.people to add
in sealed envelope. They had given the Degree verification certificate
for genuiness of degree.I sent these(degree verification certi.&
original transcripts) to ASPC. In may,2002.

after that i have not received any letter.
i applied under 2211.11(chartered accountants)category.
can anyone suggest me that if i had not sent the copies of degree
certificates.instead of that i sent degree verification certificate
given by Gujaarat uni under their letter head mentioning that we have
verified the degrees and marksheets and it is ok as per our records.
Do DIMIA refused my application?is there any other reason for such
long delay?
the 50 weeks time had already finished in last feb,2003.

i recently wrote a letter mentioning the delay abt my file.and also
ask them for any further documents.
pls advice me.email:[email protected]

Ashwin,

That is indeed a long time. You have done the correct thing about your degree certificates. You have done what is required by ASPC. They do require authenticated transcripts from the University.
I also assume that you have had got your skills accessed by the relevant assessing authority in Australia, in your case will be the Chartered Institute in Australia.
In addition to this did you also submit your IELTS scores to ASPC?
If you have done all of the above, then I suggest you contact them about your application. By the way did where did you submit your application? Mumbai or ASPC?

Hopefully to ASPC, as a Feb 2003 application cannot be lodged at anywhere other than at ASPC.

Peter,

Ash applied in Feb 2002 and not Feb 2003, so I assume he applied in Mumbai and not directly at ASPC. Maybe this is the cause of delay.

My mistake - it was a typo on my part. I meant Feb 2002.

I'm sure you're aware that as of late 2001, all skilled visa applications are to be lodged only at ASPC.
