"This is to inform DIAC that I have a skills assessment from the Australian Computing Society (ACS) showing a computer specialisation (as listed on the MODL) and I am entitled to priority processing under the CSL. Furthermore, my ACS number is xxxxxx."
Don't forget to enter all other details in the form....

Tick the "other", and in additional information you can enter something like:

well i got rejected at vic ss couple of weeks back wating for queensland , isnt network security in demand anymore anywhere and the ss just get rejected?

With QLD, the occupation was obviously taken off recently, however the will still process based on the old list so presumably if you met the criteria before the change you will still get through that way. For 175 its still on the MODL.
Personally I get 15+ jobs through on seek based on Network Security Jobs a day from melb/syd/qld (albeit a lot less) so there is hope there.

I am a Newbie to this thread so bare with me. I work in this kind of arena and would be interested in any pointers you would give about getting certified with ACS or how to go about this.
So over to you guys any advice greatly appreciated.

With QLD, the occupation was obviously taken off recently, however the will still process based on the old list so presumably if you met the criteria before the change you will still get through that way. For 175 its still on the MODL.
Personally I get 15+ jobs through on seek based on Network Security Jobs a day from melb/syd/qld (albeit a lot less) so there is hope there.

Hello all,
I graduated in MS networking and have applied for 885 general skilled migration with no priority ; since my cat. is ICT-Recent graduate with no experience.
My condition has now changed i have been working full time as a network security professional since oct 2008 and have more than 1300 hrs experience till date, apart from that my company has given me a contract for 2 yrs and will extend it further since they are training me extensively.
What all do i need to apply for ACS computing professional - recent graduate with specialization for a positive assessment from ACS in order to qualify CSL.

Nope not yet. I wanted to have a job before I move but looks like that is nearly impossible.
