Community Language : Bonus Points

Hi

I am from ABU DHABI(UAE)
I have already applied for Immigration under Skilled independent
catetory.

I am getting 115 points and my case officer has asked to submit a
certificate from NAATI, if I am claiming 5 bonus points for australia's
community language.

At present I am out of the country and will be returning after
two months

If my spouse sit for the NAATI test and get the NAATI accreditation,Will
DIMIA accept this?

Please let me know.

Not unless she is the primary visa applicant.

It is possible, but not straightforward, to attract 'community language' bonus points without sitting NAATI.

With respect, if you had been professionally advised you would have prepared for NAATI if there was a probability that you would be required to sit it.

If sitting NAATI you should look into the requirements sooner rather than later. and inform your case officer of the expected timeframe.

what community language are you claiming?

did you submit a school certification showing that you had subjects taught entirely in this language? if you did, and they still ask for your NAATI...good luck since i hear it is quite difficult to pass.

did u use and agent? he should have warned you about this scenario...
