Default Citizenship requirements

Hi, just wondering if someone can help me out.
I've been in Oz for 4.5 years, but in the last year i've done alot of travel outside due to work forced vacation. As of mid July i will adhere to the 90 day rule of being outside of Oz.
What i'm wondering is what happens if i apply for Citizenship and while waiting go on holidays and once again fall below the 90 days.
I know i can submit my application mid July but does the 90 day rule mean 90 days before being granted Citizenship or is it 90 days before sending the application.
Also is it important if i'm currently working? I've been working constantly as a contractor for 4 years, my current contract is finishing June 30th, hence why i'm thinking about afew weeks over sea's.Does work status have an influence on the Citizenship?
Hopefully someone can help me with this, Thanks!

No idea what a work forced vacation is.

Anyway you need to meet the requirements as at the time of application.

Whether you are working or not is of no interest or relevance to being granted citizenship
