citizenship ministerial decision

I would like to apply for citizenship but am well short of the 4 out of last 5 years residency qualification. I notice that in exceptions to the residency requirements, under the ministerial decision section, there is a paragraph mentioning the option of an ongoing interdependant relationship with an Australian citizen. Has anyone used that option? As I still have the defacto relationship from when I received my PR could I be excepted from the rule?

Thank you in advance for any answers!

Re: citizenship ministerial decision

Have a look at this thread. Also it is three years out of four if that makes a difference.
