Citizenship 2021

Hi,

I have recently passed the Citizenship Exam. Now I want to go outside of Australia. Can I go outside of Australia and stay outside until I get the Citizenship Ceremony invitation?
help would be appreciated

Re: Citizenship 2021

You need to be in Australia for approval and should take the ceremony within 1 year. You are not a citizen until after the ceremony. Do you still have a valid visa to return to Aus remember the travel portion runs out 5 years from grant. You may not get an invite to a ceremony if you are offshore either. If you have a genuine reason to travel you might be able to get a ceremony quicker though.
