Children and Medicals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do all children no matterwhat their age have to have a medical? if not what age band is the criteria?

I understand they do not need an Xray before they are 11, is this correct?

Everyone has to have a medical regardless of age (dependants even if they are not migrating with you) Everyone over the age of 11 has to have a chest xray and if there is evidence that they have had a history of contact with anyone with TB under 11's also have to have one. Anyone over the age of 15 must also have a HIV/AIDS test.
Hope this helps

Hi there,

Yes, all children need a medical. Under 11yrs - no X-Ray, 15yrs+ blood test
as well.

We went to a great panel doctor in Hertfordshire who does the X-rays as well
for one fee & was very good with the children & very reassuring to us. If
you need details, let me know.

Hope this clears things up.

Good luck.

Siobhan

Panel Doctors

Siobhan

Is this the panel doctor registered at Hitchin? I rang up and spoke to a lady there - she was extremely helpful and very friendly. We have not booked ours yet - applied Sept 01 (want as much time to validate as possible)- and still waiting to be asked! I think we will use this practise too.

I was going to use this practice as well, but they had 3 week wait. I
found another practice in St. Albans that were quicker and turned out
to be a lot cheaper too.
