Hi all,
I spoke to Berlin. They asked me to send a fax with an explanation of
this new procedure and a translation of the Application Form as it is
in Dutch. I received an email from Berlin yesterday and the new
procedure is as follows:

1) you send in your visa application
2) Berlin will then send you the requested letter for VOG
3) you go to the council to request the Police Clearance document
4) about 3 weeks later you send this document to Berlin.

I know Berlin has a fast processing route for spouse visa. I don´t
know how this will work, because you´ll never be able to get that
stamp in your passport the day you go in for your interview as you
don´t have the police clearance document yet.

Hey guys,
thats what i would like to know, how they will deal with skilled independent applications who would like to frontload. I havent heard anything back from my emails to Berlin, so i decided to just fill in the application form and send it to Berlin accompanied by a translation and a letter, begging them to fill in the form! Will see what happens..

Thanks for that info Claire, so atm it seems like going to Berlin for an interview is not an option. That's a shame, because I would have liked that. Maybe I'll give them a ring next week or so to see what they say about that.

Hi guys,
we received an email today from the postmaster at the Australian Embassy in The Hague, telling us to send them the documents downloaded from www.justitie.nl. The only thing we have to do is fill in our part, and then mail it to them in a self-addressed envelope with stamps, and they will do their thing and send it back to us. We then have to take it all to the gemeentehuis and there we go! Funny detail: today we also received an email from our agent, telling us that the medical and police checks request has arrived! But he also didnt know that we now need the official Dimia document to get the police checks. How bizar. But finally... things are moving along!!

Hi all,
I am a bit confused now. Berlin says to send in the visa application
and then they´ll send an official statement for the Police Clearance
doc and now it seems that you can send the application form to the
Hague and that they´ll fill in the rest and return it. Does anybody
know what the final and right procedure is ?
Thanks,
Claire

Hi Claire,
i think the difference is that you are talking about sending in a visa application to Berlin, while i am talking about frontloading my police checks. So i cant send in my visa application, because that document has been in Adelaide since october. Does this make any sense at all? Hopefully between all of us we can sort this one out!

I hope so too.
couple of thinge we need to clear up or get answeres
1. How does PCC work for people who apply visa at Berlin
2. How do we request PCC for front loading?
3. What's the procedure if you do get a request from DIMIA.

I hope we can summarise and get answers for there then everyone will have the complete picture.

Cheers

The only thing that matters is the PCC. I don't think that anyone in Berlin would be upset if you have your VOG application form signed by someone from the The Hague staff.

I think you should let The Hague sign the application form, apply for the VOG at your local Gemeentehuis and then front load the application to Adelaide (in case of Skilled Independent application) or take the PCC to Berlin (for a Spouse Visa application).

Don't mix up the Dutch VOG procedure and DIMIA's visa application procedure, they are not connected.

no I am not mixing things up.

since all these has to do with changes in VOG rules. It would be beneficial to all us trying to move Netherlands to know the rules and regulations regarding obtaining the VOG from the gementeehuis.

Cheers

I agree.
DIMIA (Berlin or Adelaide) will not care who dus de VOG procedure, as long as in the end they get the VOG/PCC.
The gemeentehuis wil also not care if it is The Hague or Berlin or Adelaide, as long as it's DIMIA. Or as long as it's SOMETHING

I agree, let The Hague sign the application form etc. That is the easiest way. For ALL visa's (skilled, partner.....)

Yeah, I know....
I understand you are worried!
It's all very frustrating for you lot.
I'm sure it will become more clear in the future, but some of you need to know NOW!

He, Jemo, do you speak Dutch? If so, have you found the new Dutch Expat forum yet? www.xpdite.net/forum
Just new, but growing rapidly!
