Changes Police Checks the Netherlands
Hi all,
The procedure for the request of the Police Clearance certificate in the Netherlands has changed ! You now need an official document from DIMA Berlin that you have to bring to the council. This document should contain info about DIMA, about the applicant and about the reasons why DIMA Berlin needs this certificate. I know the Justice Dep. informed the councils in the Netherlands, but I am not so sure they informed the DIMA Berlin ! I´ll call Berlin this Tuesday to see what is going on. I need the certificate urgently and it seems that this new procedure will delay the whole thing ! Claire |

It's the offical new policy since April 1 (yes it is). Seems a bit silly to ask DIMIA to write you a letter that they might request PC's if you will lodge a visa application. Our local registry office could (would?) not help us unless we had a 'official request' from DIMIA :-(

See www.justitie.nl for details. This is one part of it: "Voor het aanvragen van een VOG in verband met emigratie, een visum of werkvergunning gelden speciale regels. In plaats van of in aanvulling op het aanvraagformulier is een officieel document van de ambassade, het consulaat of de buitenlandse organisatie/instelling voldoende. Dit document moet dan wel alle gegevens bevatten die op het aanvraagformulier worden gevraagd." Good luck everyone! :) |

I'm really curious to know how this all turns out because I'll have to go and do the same in a few months. Hopefully it won't be too much of a problem and Berlin has some standard form for asking for a PCC. Let us know how this turns out. Thanks, Sander |

Good luck everyone! :) Guys, Stop panicking If you read carefully it says if you don't wanna use the aanvraag formulier dan een brief of officiel dokument van DIMIA is nodig. You can go to your local gemeente huis and request for VOG. It's not required to get DIMIA write a letter... Please go through it one more time... |

The aanvraag formulier is downloadable, but still needs to be filled out by the DIMIA as far as I can tell. Dit document moet dan wel alle gegevens bevatten die op het aanvraagformulier worden gevraagd." Or for emigration purposes a letter or official document from DIMIA is necessary which contains all the requested info for a VOG. This would imply that you _do_ need DIMIA to produce a letter or document. What else do you suggest to take to the gemeentehuis? Sander |

Sander Nu ben ik met jullie allemaal meens maar welke soort dokument verwacht de mensen van Justitie dat is nog niet helder.. Moet wij aanvraag dimia de dokument testuuren... Sorry ik had heel slechte ervaring achter de rug de met soort situtatie daarom will ik toch een keer bij mijn gemente huis willen uit probeeren.. Badri |
