Change of SOL 3 in future
 

Hi, my occupation is currently on SOL 3. I applied for 885 onshore on 26th August 2010. How long do you think it will take for a case officer to be allocated? How long would it take for PR to be granted? I know no one knows but some input based on past experience would be good even if it's speculation. What if my occupation is removed from SOL 3 next year before my PR is processed? Does that mean I won't be able to get PR? All the uncertainty regarding the whole visa process is daunting.

Sorry but you said it, we can't see into the future. Nobody could have predicted all the changes over the last 18 months and the impact they would have on existing applications and thus the same has to be said for future changes.

Your case officer will be allocated on 14th September 2011. Your visa will be decided exactly 6 weeks later. (sorry, the crystal ball is foggy this morning from last night's rain, so I can't see whether or not your visa is granted or denied).
