chances of getting a job moving to Aus as a mental health nurse?
Hi,
I’m new to this. My partner and I have been discussing emigrating to Australia within the next couple of years. My partner is Indian British and I am white British living in England. My partner is a senior experienced mental health nurse, and I’m training to become a mental health nurse. He is 32, I am 29. We haven’t any children yet but we would like to have children in the next 5 years. I feel that Australia will provide a better quality of life in terms of raising our future children. We are both outdoor lovers, and hope our children will be the same. Has anybody any advice regarding getting a job as a mental health nurse in AUS as a British expat?

- The employer nominated visa options (permanent and temporary), where you would locate an employer eligible to sponsor your visa application. As a nurse you may also find there are some recruitment agencies that specialise in placing nurses?
- The independent skilled visas, where you would use your qualifications and experience to obtain a visa based on your skills to enable you to live and work in Australia. Currently you would need to obtain at least 65 points to be eligible to be considered for these options
