car insurance in perth
where's the best/cheapest place to get car insurance in perth for a toyota landcruiser ?

I found SGIO very competitive, although I insured a Falcon car. They also gave me a 10% discount because I took out Home contents insurance with them at the same time.
Another point was that SGIO transferred my no claims bonuses over, although I'm sure the other companies do too. SGIO's number is: 133 233 Web address: www.sgio.com.au I've heard the RAC are reasonable too! Good luck |

I don't know about the cheapest car insurance in Perth but insurance companies used to have a phobia about the 26th parallel over in the west. Insurance premiums would rise considerably for a vehicle if it was primarily used north of that line of latitude. I think it also used to be the case that if the vehicle travelled north of it and had an accident, you might have trouble collecting, especially if you hadn't advised the insurance company of the possibility beforehand. The reason was that the northern roads used to be dreadful back in the days when I lived in the state. I have heard that some of the roads I used to frequent are now fully sealed. Maybe the insurance premiums will reflect this but since you are trying to insure a four wheel drive, your mileage may vary since they will assume you will be travelling off the beaten path. We are also insured with SGIO and we have the car, two houses and the contents of one insured. The premium is, for the houses and contents at least, slightly lower this year. They compare very favourably to the others... Another little discount that they don't mention, in the case of car insurance, is that related to who is nominated as the primary driver. In our case, my wife is the primary driver and women are seen as less accident prone than men. I didn't even know about this until I volunteered the info when I went to renew the policy. I had been nominated as the primary driver but, since my wife uses the car to travel to work every day, I thought to change the policy to reflect this. I was told it wasn't neccessary but I insisted. THEN I was told that there was a discount available... hmmmm >Another point was that SGIO transferred my no claims bonuses over, >although I'm sure the other companies do too. >SGIO's number is: 133 233 >Web address: www.sgio.com.au >I've heard the RAC are reasonable too! Hi
We used Western QBE for our car insurance. Admittedly we didn't try SGIO (who I've since heard are very good) but still, we got a good premium. When I told them I'd had a cheaper quote from someone else they beat it. Claire xx |
