Just had a call from our agent Great News!! Dimia have called for the $100,000 bond investment.Meds and Police checks all okay.So its all systems go.Getting excited now.

Congratulations. We've had our bond details received at DIMIA yesterday and they say it will take about 28 days for them to issue the actual visas. Our agent also said they have never heard of an occasion where the bond request has been issued and the subsiquent application has been turned down.. So keep everything crossed and look forward to the future. The only advice I would give you is get everything sorted as soon as possible, DIMIA only give you about 6 weeks to submit the bond and that means to them, NOT the state treasury you choose, A slight oversight on our part made the last few days quiet nerve-wracking, especially when it can take 4-5 days for documents to be sent via snail-mail and them another 4-5 days for monies to be cleared. You think you have lots of time but it will get tight towards the end. Good luck, let me know how you get on.

Our agent did say the same it could take another month until we get the visas.Oh well we have waited this long another month cannot do much harm.

Congratulations ,we to have had our bond requested and what an interesting day we have had because of it.

got a what we thought was a good exchange rate for the pound into dollars at 2.41 ,then asked the bank to transfer only to be told the rate had changed to 2.36, went back to Holiday hypermarket and started to arrange transfer through them at the first exchange rate. first Hitch, they actually required the funds in cash.
we rang the bank and said could we have our money please? they rang is bank and advised us that the only had £20.000 at our branch and would we mind collecting the remaining from 2 other branches in the city?, not a problem we said,
so there we are walking/ dancing through the centre of town with £50.000 pounds in a freezer bag from M&S looking like we had been dragged through a hedge backwards, the look on the foreign exchange ladys face in holiday hypermarket will be one I dont think we will ever forget!!!!!.
so now we have faxed off the application forms , informed our case officer and U.P.S are collecting the hard copies of the forms tomorrow.

hopefully we will have our visa soon and I will be able to relax.
