Hi,

Does anyone know what the aus visa wait is for independent from the canadian office?

Also, does anyone know if Australia has a quick route for qualified IT people (I'm
not talking about job transfer though, just some fast track for IT professionals - I
know some countries do it.)

Hi Tim

All skilled independent applications need to be lodged with Adelaide and not your
local embassy in Canada - I think the waiting time is about a year.

Australia operated a fast track for IT professionals until this week, when they
suspended fast tracking of IT applications due to a decline in the IT job market. So
now a year wait for IT professionals - the only fast tracking is now for Nurses.
