Can I Certify all my certificate at the High Comm?
 

Anyone have any idea?

Or is it the only way to do the certify by lawyer or notary only?

While a Notary Public could certify your documents, it would probably burn a hole in your pocket. They charge S$40 per signature!

I'm not sure if the Aussie HC does certification in Singapore.

You could get any practising & registered lawyer in Singapore to stamp and sign your documents as "Certified True Copies". It's extremely useful to have friends who are lawyers and are willing to do you the favour in exchange for a dinner or two :-)

The Aussie High commission charge a high rate, too.

Try the Australian Banks in your area. They are quite reasonable.

I did the mistake of taking many of my docs to AHC. Late found that the banks charge much much lesser.

Australian banks in Singapore? Hmmm....

On another note, it's interesting to read that Aussie banks provide certification services. I wonder if Singaporean banks have a similar service?

But the attestation for the visa purposes (to OZ) need to be done by an Australian Bank and not a Singapore Bank. Correct me if Im wrong.

I don't know about using banks (Singaporean or Australian) to certify documents. I know ACS accepts copies certified by any registered lawyer in the country of residence.

DIMIA recognizes certified true copies made by a person recognized by the law of the person's home country (Page 47 of the Migration Booklet). So a registered lawyer should suffice.

High Comm, yes, according to my lawyer, he said (he said only, I am not sure) the
first piece of cert will be $28 and the second, third... will be charge $5, and now
consider if you are having with you 30+ photocopied certs or what.

As for me, my lawyer friend did that for me FOC, phew.
