Can anyone tell me how can i start the visa application on my own..?

Hi

This is Sunil from Ahmedabad, India.

I am into Web/Graphic Designing since last 6.7 years.
I was just wondering about better job opportunities overseas.

What should I start first, Job Search or Visa Applications....?

Can anyone tell me how can i start the visa application on my own..?
I have doubts regarding immigration consultants reliability. OR

If anyone has name and addresses (emails) of reliable immi consult
please let me know.

Thanx & Reg
Sunil

Try this link for the visa (skilled 136)

http://www.immi.gov.au/migration/ski...les/sc_136.htm

Booklet 6 tells you everything you need to know about the form

Agents George Lombard has given me a lot of advice and guidance, and is active on this site, do a search for him

Sunil

Take JonJon's advice & read Booklet 6 before you do anything else. This is THE BIBLE or all people wishing to lodge a skilled migration visa application. This is the first step in preparing any visa application.

There is little point in looking for a job in Australia if you don't have a visa. However, just for your own edification you could perform some job searches to get an idea of the current employment market for Web/Graphic designers. Try www.seek.com.au, www.mycareer.com.au or www.careerone.com.au.

Anyone is perfectly capable of doing a visa application on their own - just remember that it takes perserverance, patience and hard work. (Remember - If something comes at very little cost, people tend to think it is of little value!). The trick to a successful visa application is to research, read & comprehend.

In addition, you must read the Skilled Occupation List ("SOL") - http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1121i.pdf - and select the category of profession under which you wish to apply for a visa. There is only one category under which you might be able to apply: Graphic Designer ASCO 2533-13. For this category your skills need to be assessed by VETASSESS - http://www.vetassess.com.au/index.cfm?menu=1.1

ALTERNATIVELY, I can recommend a Migration Solicitor who is reputable, honest and affordable. I have used her and highly recommend her. Her contact details can be found here: http://mia.org.au/profiles/ford.htm
