Hello, i today recieved my working holiday visa for Australia, delighted!! However, my friend who is yet to apply, has a several convictions from a couple of years back and has been advised it would be best for him to apply for his WHV through an agent.

Could anyone recommed any agents based in the UK?

I have seen a few people mention Go Matilda but they seem to be based in Australia.

It doesn't matter where they are based. All communications will be by email generally speaking. However Go Matilda do have a UK office:

I used oe-visas in edinburgh, they were great could call for anything even if it sounded stupid. I would recommend them to anyone

Go Matilda have an office in Southampton (or at least that's where they used to be based.)
