Can anyone help

I have been declared bankrupt in the UK. I have now stabilised myself and am ready for a fresh start. Would it affect me in Aus?

As far as I am aware you credit history doesn't follow you. We have been told that we mat need to take bank statements, etc to prove we have had credit before, etc but thats all.
