C.O. assigned - 70 day timescale?

C.O. assigned - 70 day timescale?
We had our case officer assigned on 26 July 2006, and received an email advising us to proceed with police checks & medicals. We were given a 70 day response time which takes us to 4 Oct 2006. Unfortunately, the earliest date available for our medicals is 27 Sep 2006 - which is cutting it fine for the 70 day timescale. Now worried that this will stop us getting our visa.
Any advice anyone? Thank you in advance.

Can't you try somewhere else for your meds - where are you? Waiting times are less at some places.

Sorry - just realised where you are!!!
I know it's a pain but couldn't you try Edinburgh, Perth or Dundee to see if they are quicker?
Otherwise an email to your CO explaining would probably sort it out.

We are in Glasgow, have been unable to get a response from the only panel doctor in Glasgow. This appointment is in Edinburgh, and it is actually the 2nd surgery we phoned - the other one can give us an appointment in October!!! Didnt realise there were so many people trying to get to OZ! Think we will have to try further afield!

If you have no luck do explain to your CO. As has previously been said - they are human and they know that things are busy right now.
