Default Bournemouth to Brisbane

Is anyone from the Dorset area hoping to emigrate to Brisbane soon.

We're hopefully (!) in the final stages - just sent back medicals and police checks. Hope to be in sunny Brisbane well before Christmas depending on house sale. Bought a place that needs lots of work so now frantically trying to finish it all off to get it on the market!!

Hi Tracey

We are in East Sussex and hoping to go to Brisbane eventually in about 52 weeks.

Good luck with getting the house ready.

Default Southampton to Brisbane

Hi,
We applied in September, so would hope we might hear in another 3 or 4 months whether we are going to be succesful or not. We're currently near Southampton and are looking to move towards Brisbane - if we get work we will stay, but if we are unsuccesful we may decide to try the Sydney area

Hi FC,
Where in East Sussex are you?
We're in Hastings and also planning on moving to Brissy.
We have all our visa's and validated last June. Bought a couple of acres
south of Brissy to build on but have been held up in moving due to another
baby (born 28th Feb) and getting married next summer in Battle.
Dean, Karen, Jayden and Caitlin.

Tracey
We emigrated to Brisbane on 31st January 2003, but we were originally from Hamworthy, Poole - so just up the road!!
Let us know if there is anything we can help you with, good luck with the house - sounds similar to us, we had lots to do before sold our house in the UK.
Cheers
Annie

How are things in Brisbane? Is it everything you had hoped for? Whereabouts are you staying?

We're looking at the Cleveland area.

Would love to hear your news.

Hi Tracey
We have brought a lowset in Ormiston, the suburb next to Cleveland and round the corner from Ormiston College the local private school.
We originally planned to rent but had difficulty finding what we wanted and the real estate agents were reluctant to take us on as neither of us had jobs.
The area is really beautiful and we can walk into the centre of Cleveland in about 3/4 hour, via the parkland. The Harbour front around Raby Bay is lovely with lots of open plan cafes, very different from last year.
Not really sure what else you would like to know so send us an e-mail/ personal message with any specifics and we'll reply.
We certainly haven't any regrets and don't miss the south coast as there is so much to do in the area.
Cheers
Annie
