Bonus Points Question
Experts:
In my application under Skilled Independent category in June 2002, I
had opted for the 5 Bonus Points with AUD$100,000/- investment.
Including the bonus points I had a total of 125 points, and all I
required was 115.
I recently received a request for police + character certificate from
DIMIA and I do not see any request for the investment.
I had 2 questions in this regard.
1. When will I get a request for the investment?
2. Since my application is meeting the required points anyway, is it
possible for me that I do not have to make the investment?

Yes
The case office seems to have come to a conclusion that as you do not require the 5 bonus points to get to the passmark of 115 points, that you would likely not want to invest this money. So it would seem you will not be asked at all to make this investment now.

RrK, we are in a similar position to yourself (120 points with capital investment). Out of interest have you been asked for the money ?
