I keep reading about bonds (5000 dollars?). What is it and who needs one?

Our assurer will lodge the $ 5000 which consists of $ 3500 for the main applicant and $ 1500 for each additional adult in the application.

Ahh, I see, thanks. This doesn't apply to me as I am seeking a spouse visa.

we put down a bond because we were 5 points short and we had a step aunt who took it to the bank and lodged it, we receive it back with interest in 2 years time. it so that if u claim any benefit money that it will come out of that instead of the government as they dont want people to come out here and sponge of the government. not eveybody has to do it!
